We are seeking an experienced conveyancer ready to step into a leadership role as Head Conveyancer. This is a permanent opportunity to oversee and shape our conveyancing department as our offices expand in response to the property boom and prepare for upcoming staff transitions. With the flexibility to be based in either our Virginia or Kingaroy office, this role offers the chance to join a supportive, dynamic team while driving the future of our conveyancing services.
This is a full-time position - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. These core hours ensure consistency for our clients and team, and from time to time, additional hours may be needed to meet client and file requirements.
The successful applicant will bring the following skills and qualities:
Conveyancing experience including having carriage of and be responsible for the completion of residential and commercial conveyancing files from start to finish.
Be a professional and confident individual, with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
Demonstrate ability to calculate and meet critical dates and assist clients in satisfying contract conditions.
Proficiency in assessing and calculating Transfer Duty liability, settlement adjustments and preparing OSR declarations, contracts, titles and other conveyancing-related documents and correspondence.
Experience working with Smokeball legal software (or equivalent), PEXA and OSR connect.
Be able to effectively communicate (both orally and in writing) with clients, other law firms, banks, real estate agents and others.
Possess a proven ability to prioritise a high-volume workload.
