About the Role:
Canberra Health Services Dental (CHS Dental) within the Division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Services (RACS) provides adult, child and youth general dental, restorative, special needs, General Anaesthetic (GA), Relative Analgesia (RA), and specialist Surgical and Orthodontic services to the eligible members of the ACT community. The service currently operates from five Community Health Centres and three hospitals across the ACT region.
The Visiting CHS Dental Orthodontist plays an integral role within the cleft multidisciplinary team. This position requires a sessional commitment of four hours each week to provide orthodontic services at an identified CHS Dental Community Clinic and attendance at Canberra Hospital Cleft Lip and Palate Clinic up to eight times per year.
Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:
1. Meet credentialing requirements and receive an Endorsed scope of clinical practice from the Medical Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).
2. Hold Specialist registration as an Orthodontist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
3. Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
