The role
The core of this role is metal polishing. You will polish and detail aluminium bull bars to a high, consistent finish, complete accessory fit-ups and prepare products for dispatch so every bar leaves the factory in excellent condition.
Key responsibilities
- Work to the workshop schedule and sequence jobs in the correct dispatch order.
- Polish and detail aluminium bars to a bright, uniform finish using powered hand tools and compounds.
(7 inch sander, barrel grinder, buff and soft mop)
- Remove weld discolouration and surface marks using abrasives and compounds, protecting adjacent finished surfaces.
- Clean and prep with aluminium-safe degreasers, then final wipe before QA.
- Fit genuine and aftermarket lights and accessories to specification.
- Verify fasteners, mount plate fit, opening angles and eyebolt positions.
- Pack products for transport and attach required paperwork.
- Complete job cards and maintain tidy, safe work areas.
