Senior BESS Sales Manager — Job Description
The Senior BESS Sales Manager will lead market development for utility-scale and C&I energy storage solutions across Australia. This is a growth role focused on identifying opportunities, shaping strategy, and driving BESS sales as the business expands into the Australian market.
Salary Range
$180k – $260k base + commissions + superannuation
(Dependent on experience, relationships, and proven commercial track record)
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and convert BESS opportunities across utility and C&I markets; provide market intelligence to guide product and service strategy.
* Build and manage relationships with developers, EPCs, utilities, and major industry partners; act as primary commercial interface.
* Develop market expansion plans, sales strategies, and structured reporting on pipeline, competitors and customer requirements.
* Support product and delivery teams with customer specifications and integration needs.
* Lead early-stage scoping, client presentations, and commercial negotiations.
Requirements
* Strong background in BESS sales from OEMs, integrators, suppliers or EPCs (not developer-only).
* Proven success selling utility-scale or C&I energy storage solutions in Australia; strong local network.
* Deep understanding of ESS technology, integration and project requirements.
* Ability to analyse market conditions, identify opportunities, and drive commercial strategy.
* Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
