About The Role
Reporting directly to the Service Deli Manager, this role assists with the day-to-day running of the store’s service deli to ensure smooth operation of the department and team. If successful, you will assist with managing and coaching the team, completing production, actioning orders, generating rosters and more.
Working as part of an enthusiastic team in a competitive supermarket workplace, you will be expected to demonstrate:
Fresh food retail knowledge is preferred, but not essential
Ability to supervise a team
Understanding of ordering, cost control and gross profit
Accurate team member rostering
Passion and enthusiasm with a hands-on approach
Unparalleled commitment to customer service
Excellent communication skills
Ability to liaise with both team members and management
A flair for merchandising
