About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Workshop Controller to join the team at Orange Motor Group'. As our Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our state-of-the-art automotive workshop. This is a full-time role based in our Orange, NSW location.
What you'll be doing
* Managing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation
* Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with industry regulations
* Liaising with the advisor team and to manufacturers to provide updates on the progress of vehicle repairs and to address any concerns
* Overseeing the maintenance and servicing of our fleet of vehicles, including coordinating with external providers
* Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
* Providing leadership and mentoring to the workshop team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
* Collaborating with the broader Orange Motor Group' team to support the overall success of the business
What we're looking for
1. Extensive experience in a similar workshop controller or automotive workshop management role
2. Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
3. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
4. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
5. A proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve high levels of performance
6. A relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification in automotive or business management
