Queensland ADHD & Neurosciences Clinic (QANC) is a specialist psychiatry clinic dedicated to ADHD and Neurodiversity (child, adolescent, and adult). We are proud to provide a unique, cutting-edge service and are seeking a motivated and compassionate Medical Receptionist / Administrator to join our team.

About the Role 
- Part time role: Mon–Wed, 8:00am–4:30pm
- Full-time option: Mon–Fri, based on experience and suitability
- Pay: $30–$40 per hour (depending on skills, experience, and KPIs), in line with the Fairwork HPSS Health Services Award benchmarks
- Location: Modern consulting rooms within the prestigious Pindara Private Hospital campus, Benowa, Gold Coast
You will be the welcoming face of QANC, supporting patients and families on their treatment journey. This role involves front desk reception, triage, intake coordination, clinic liaison, and administrative support. You will work closely with our Senior Administrator, offsite admin team, and Clinic Director.
Key Responsibilities 
- Front desk reception duties and patient support
- Daily email and phone communication with patients, carers, and stakeholders
- Appointment management, billing (Tyro), and banking
- Using Best Practice practice management software and Medical Objects
- Applying clinic policies and procedures with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to support patient care
- Maintaining confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries
Training & Support 
We provide structured training and supervision to ensure you feel supported in your role.
- Initial training period: 1–3 months (casual, with progression to permanent part-time)
- Daily operational meetings and ongoing mentoring
- Guidance in clinical communication, problem solving, and medico-legal frameworks
- Support in working with ADHD and neurodiverse patients and families
Skills & Experience 
- Previous medical administration/reception experience (GP or specialist clinic preferred)
- Solid computer skills; confidence with practice management software (e.g., Best Practice, Medical Director, Genie)
- Excellent multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Professional communication with patients, families, clinicians, schools, and agencies
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience
- Commitment to confidentiality, consent, and privacy standards
