Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinician who is passionate about delivering high quality mental health support to veterans and their families. In this pivotal role, you will provide evidence-based clinical services that drive positive outcomes and strengthen the wellbeing of our clients and their communities.
What You Will Do
* Deliver high quality clinical care, including risk assessment, intervention, referral, counselling for individuals, couples and families, and case management aligned with client care plans.
* Conduct ongoing reviews with clients to monitor progress, adjust approaches and identify further needs, including extensions to episodes of care.
* Maintain accurate and confidential client records through the Client Management System, including progress notes, care plans and risk assessments.
* Engage in Continuing Professional Development, including clinical supervision, to maintain professional registration.
* Operate in accordance with legislation, ethical standards and organisational policies to ensure best-practice client care.
* Collaborate with the Assistant Director and fellow Clinicians in case reviews and decisions related to ongoing or extended care.
* Liaise with family members, external treatment providers or stakeholders to coordinate holistic support.
* Uphold APS Values and create a cooperative, safe, client-focused working environment.
* Support organisational needs through activities such as:
o Co-facilitating treatment and psychoeducation programs.
o Participating in community development and service promotion.
o Contributing to research, program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
o Ensuring quality assurance and supporting Outreach Program Clinicians.
o Assisting with regional allocation queues and conducting intake assessments.
What You Bring
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to provide trauma-informed, holistic and client-centred care.
* Competence in delivering high quality intake assessments, documentation and tailored risk assessments.
* Up-to-date understanding of policies, including risk escalation procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong judgement and the ability to respond effectively in critical situations.
* Confident use of IT systems and software.
Mandatory Requirements
* Working with Vulnerable People registration, OR
* Working with Children check.
In addition, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
* Registered (or provisional) Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR
* Social Worker with AASW membership at commencement, OR
* Masters-level counselling qualification with PACFA Clinical registration or ACA Level 3 or 4.
