About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate casual Disability Support Worker to act as backup support for two long-term NDIS participants in Wellington NSW.
These participants have been supported by the same worker for several years. This role is purely to provide cover when required, such as during illness or unexpected leave. There are no guaranteed hours, but availability and reliability are essential when support is needed.
This role would suit someone local to Wellington who is happy to be "on standby" and step in when required.
Key Duties
Depending on the shift, supports may include:
* Community access and social participation
* Domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, meal prep)
* Personal care (varying levels depending on participant)
* Supporting routines and daily living tasks
* Providing calm, respectful, person-centred support
* Following care plans, risk assessments, and reporting requirements

You will be:
* Reliable and responsive when contacted for cover
* Calm, patient, and respectful
* Comfortable supporting participants with complex physical and/or psychosocial needs
* Confident working independently in participants' homes and in the community
* Professional, flexible, and safety-focused
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must already have:
* Driver's Licence
* Own reliable vehicle
* Comprehensive car insurance
* Working With Children Check (WWCC)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
* National Police Check
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Applications without these will not be considered.
Experience
* Previous disability support experience preferred
* Experience with community access, domestic support, and personal care highly regarded
* Experience supporting complex needs is a bonus
Job Type: Casual
Pay: From $38.08 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week
