About the Role
Join a local government team delivering regulatory environmental health services. You will support licensing, inspections, investigations, and public/environmental health compliance activities to ensure community safety and wellbeing.
This is an excellent short-term opportunity for an Environmental Health professional seeking experience within a dynamic public health environment.
What We Are Looking For
* Ability to research and assess safety risks associated with new environmental health practices, equipment, and services.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate positive outcomes with stakeholders.
* Proven judgement and critical thinking, particularly when procedures are not clearly defined.
* Demonstrated capability in environmental health licensing, inspections, and complaint investigations.
* Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements and collaborate with the Immunisation Branch to maintain compliance.
About You
* Degree qualified in Environmental Health (eligible for Environmental Health Australia membership).
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a regulatory environment.
* Confident preparing professional reports, correspondence, and evidence-based recommendations.
* Comfortable managing varying workloads, priorities, and customer expectations.
* Hold a valid C-Class driver licence and can provide your own steel-capped safety boots if required.
