**POSITION TITLE**:Service Co-ordinator (Accommodation) Level 4

**LOCATION**:Operating throughout the Sydney Metropolitan area in
accordance with operational requirements.

**POSITION PURPOSE**:The Service Co-ordinator is responsible for:
Management of Inala's Accommodation
Services in accordance with the philosophy,
objectives and policies of Inala.

Management, coordination and supervision of
service programs to deliver accommodation
services that provide learning opportunities,
care assistance, support and encouragement
of the clients.

Oversight of client's personal development
independent living, recreational, social,
therapeutic and work skills as identified
through person-centered and future NDIS
planning.

Management, coordination, rostering and
administration of the day to day operation of
accommodation services, including contributing
to service unit planning and policy development,
and the supervision of other staff.

Management, coordination and maintenance of
Individual client Planning processes, including
all relevant client planning documentation and
file information currency, relevant
communication with clients, families and
stakeholders.

Ensure the implementation and development of
the highest quality planned services and
supports and associated documentation for
persons participating in Inala's services.

**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Organisational Knowledge**

Has a sound understanding of Inala's mission and values;
Has a sound understanding of related work in other service areas of Inala, outside
organisations and other key areas;
Has a sound knowledge of program, activity, operational policy and service
aspects of the work performed.

**Leadership - supervisory, professional and management**

Undertake a wide range of activities associated with program activity and service
delivery;
Works collaboratively with fellow team members and maintains contact with other
service areas of Inala to ensure resolution of service or program delivery
problems;
Demonstrates a high level of motivation and sustained discipline to provide a high
level of service or program delivery for clients, including clients with complex care
requirements;
Manages all aspects relating to a team of support workers and provides coaching
and feedback as required;
Prepares and delivers formal learning in respect to practical program delivery
skills;
Identifies areas where team members might benefit from further development;
Organises and conducts staff meetings and training sessions for team members;
Set outcomes and further develop work methods where general procedures are
not defined.

Exercise judgement and contribute critical knowledge and skills where procedures
are not defined.

**Interpersonal Skills and communication**

Contacts other service areas within Inala on non-routine matters and outside
organisations on routine matters;
Able to handle sensitive enquiries with tact and discretion;
Refers more complex enquiries appropriately;
Able to resolve conflicts related to relevant service or program delivery activities
without assistance under general supervision;
maintains at all times positive collegial working relationships, ensuring a work
environment of mutual support, goodwill and positive team cohesion

**Problem Solving**

Understands and interprets multifaceted guidelines and procedures requiring
Responsible for own schedule, contacting senior staff only to seek specialised
help or notify progress of work

**Legislation, Standards and Documentation**

Adheres to all relevant government legislation, including but not limited to WHS,
NDIS Act, NDIS Code of Conduct, Disability Services Act, Disability Services
Standards and Child Protection legislation.

Adheres to detailed and precise delivery procedures and standards;
Evaluates own work to ensure standards are met;
Perform a range of planning functions which require the exercising knowledge of
statutory and legal requirements;
Understands and complies with legislation and standards in accordance with Inala
policy;
Suggests changes to improve quality, including documentation, in own work area
and makes agreed changes.
