About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP HCM Payroll Consultant with strong expertise in Australia Payroll to support payroll upgrades, compliance initiatives, and system enhancements. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of ATO regulations, STP Phase 2, and Superannuation processes, along with hands-on SAP payroll configuration experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform impact assessment of SAP Support Packs / HRSP upgrades on Payroll, Superannuation, and STP reporting
* Analyse SAP and ATO notes and identify required changes to payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, and super configuration
* Configure and support Payday Super (SG) calculations and pay cycle-based super payments
* Update and validate STP Phase 2 reporting, including QE and Payday Super changes
* Execute pre- and post-patch payroll runs, reconcile results, and validate system changes
* Perform payroll parallel runs and compare baseline vs post-upgrade results
* Support DEV and UAT testing (scenario, targeted, and statutory testing) in collaboration with business teams
* Generate and validate superannuation payment files and support SuperStream / clearing house integrations
* Support go-live activities, production validation, and payroll testing
* Provide hypercare support including reconciliation, compliance monitoring, and ATO readiness
Mandatory Skills & Experience
* 10+ years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll
* Minimum 1+ year of hands-on experience in Australia Payroll
* Strong experience with STP Phase 2 (STP1 acceptable as secondary)
* Working knowledge of SuperStream and Superannuation processing
* Expertise in payroll schemas, PCRs, and wage type configuration
* Experience in payroll testing, parallel runs, and reconciliation
Preferred Skills
* Experience with SAP Payroll upgrades and HRSP implementations
* Strong understanding of Australian payroll compliance and ATO regulations
* Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and payroll teams
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management
