Your new role
As the Finance Officer, you will support end‑to‑end financial operations across multiple civil construction projects. You will manage accounts processing, assist with payroll inputs, and help maintain accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a busy environment, deadlines, and working alongside project teams.
1. Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
2. Managing subcontractor claims, retentions, and compliance documents
3. Assisting with cost tracking, purchase orders, and project allocations
4. Bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
5. Payroll inputs including timesheets, allowances, overtime, and site rosters
6. Supporting month‑end journals, reporting, and project cost reviews
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will require the following;
7. Previous experience in finance or accounts roles (construction/project highly regarded)
8. Strong AP/AR, reconciliations, and subcontractor claims experience
9. Understanding of project‑based costing and procurement workflows
10. Excellent accuracy, time management, and organisational skills
11. Confidence liaising with site crews, subcontractors, and suppliers
12. Experience using MYOB
