As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating individual recovery journeys. This rewarding position involves delivering comprehensive case management, assessments, referrals, education, and client support aligned with established guidelines and a person-centered approach.
About the Role
* Deliver day-to-day case work, including education, interventions, group work, assessments, and referrals to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, maintaining accurate documentation and reports to inform continuous improvement.
* Contribute to quality enhancement by embracing innovation and best practices in service delivery.
* Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external service providers to promote positive outcomes.
* Stay up-to-date on referral pathways and support services to provide informed guidance to clients.
* Assume additional duties as required by management to meet organizational objectives.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum Diploma-level qualification in AOD, Community Services, Case Management, or related field to ensure competence in recovery-focused approaches.
* Completion of the 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willingness to complete during employment) to enhance skill development.
* At least 2 years' experience in recovery or related services preferred, but not essential.
* Strong skills in managing unpredictable situations using effective de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment.
* Sound computer literacy and data management skills to efficiently manage client information.
* Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and current Driver's Licence required for certain aspects of the role.
