Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and produce quality bakery products to Bakers Delight recipes.
* Inspect equipment and premises before production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
* Evaluate raw materials, weigh ingredients, and maintain quality standards.
* Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould, and shape dough and pastry goods.
* Prepare pastry fillings for various baked products.
* Operate machines for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.
* Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine optimal baking times.
* Coordinate forming, baking, cooling, and de-panning of bread, rolls, and pastry batches.
* Glaze buns and pastries and decorate cakes with icing or cream.
* Clean, grease, and empty baking trays, tins, and equipment after use.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum of 1 year experience in baking or a Certificate III in Baking; 2 years preferred.
* Ability to be available to work a flexible roster, including shifts from 4AM to 12PM, 7 days a week, and on public holidays.
* Work in a fast-paced team setting and communicate effectively with customers and staff.
* Portray a positive attitude and complete duties as directed by manager/supervisor.
* Abide by company policies and procedures at all times.
* Train, develop, and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department.
* Work authorization in Australia (preferred).
