Overview
Reporting to the Shift Manager, this role will be permanent full time working afternoon shift with our busy production team in Smithfield.
Responsibilities
* Operating production machines and associated equipment for the manufacture of cardboard packaging
* Assist with job changes and associated tasks
* Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers
* Housekeeping duties and any other ad hoc tasks required as part of a site production team
* Contribute to a secure working environment for yourself and the team
Qualifications
* To be successful in this role you will have to be able to operate in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.
* You will be fit and healthy.
* Have strong interpersonal skills (clear communication, self-confidence, teamwork and collaboration).
* The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
* Most importantly is you'll be performance driven, be adaptable to changes in the workplace and be keen to learn new skills, processes, and procedures.
* You'll ideally have previous experience working within a manufacturing environment and hands on experience operating machines.
