Job Description:

The role of a Court Services Officer is a crucial part of the court system in Queensland. As the courts undergo a period of transformation and reform, this position presents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of these changes.

Court Services Queensland employs skilled and dedicated staff across the state who work to deliver quality outcomes for the community through support and empathy for court users.


About The Role:

* Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of court registries.
* Offer frontline services to court users daily, responding to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner.
* Carry out various tasks such as unlocking courtrooms, administering oaths, maintaining security, and testing technology.
* Recognise and act on risks related to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including anti-social behaviours of court users.
* Adhere to administrative processes, policies, and procedures to ensure timeliness and accuracy.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with judiciary members, government agencies, litigants, and the public.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registrar in managing daily operations, coordinating court proceedings, and delivering services to the community.


Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of court registries.

Frontline Services: Offer frontline services to court users daily, responding to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner.

Security and Technology: Carry out various tasks such as unlocking courtrooms, administering oaths, maintaining security, and testing technology.

Risk Management: Recognise and act on risks related to Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), including anti-social behaviours of court users.

Administrative Processes: Adhere to administrative processes, policies, and procedures to ensure timeliness and accuracy.

Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
