Josiah College Josiah College is seeking an exceptional Dean of Junior Years (P-6) to join our amazing community on a Full-Time Permanent basis, driving excellence in teaching, student wellbeing, and staff development within a Christ-centred community.
Josiah College is a multi-denominational Christian school in Carrara on the Gold Coast, dedicated to nurturing, inspiring, and enabling students to flourish. Our autism-friendly environment provides a supportive framework for students on the autism spectrum to access the Australian Curriculum through individualised learning programs tailored to their needs.

Job Description About the Role This is a key leadership position responsible for the academic, pastoral, and operational leadership of the Primary School (Prep–6). You will lead a team of educators and support staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive learning tailored to the diverse needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Staff Development
Lead, mentor, and support teachers and educational assistants
Build a collaborative, high‑performing, and Christ‑centred team culture
Facilitate professional learning in inclusive and evidence‑based practice
Curriculum & Inclusive Education
Oversee the implementation of the Australian Curriculum
Ensure effective differentiation and individualised learning programs
Support high‑quality teaching practice aligned with diverse learner needs
Student Wellbeing & Pastoral Care
Lead student wellbeing, behaviour support, and pastoral care processes
Support staff in managing complex behaviours with consistency and care
Work closely with families and external providers to support student outcomes
Operations & Community Engagement
Support the Head of College in operational and strategic priorities
Oversee enrolment processes and student support pathways
Maintain strong communication with families and the wider community
About You
Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration
Proven leadership experience in a primary or similar setting
Experience supporting students with autism or diverse learning needs
Strong commitment to Christian education and College values
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
