The Shire of Yalgoo is seeking to appoint an experienced Works Manager to provide management of the Shire's Road construction and maintenance crew. This position is ideal for those looking for a dynamic role with a blend of technical, managerial, and community-focused responsibilities.
In this role you will oversee and coordinate various infrastructure and maintenance projects within the Shire. Leading the works team, you should display strong people management skills providing daily direction, support and training to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
To be successful in the role, you should be able to demonstrate extensive experience working in the road construction industry sealed and gravel, being conversant with all relevant methodologies used in today's environment, developing work schedules and plant maintenance schedules. Coordinating contractors, parks and gardens and maintenance team as well as having sound supervisory experience.
The position comprises a remuneration package of up to $157,275 which includes the unlimited use of a vehicle (within WA), 11.5% superannuation and regional/isolation allowance. In addition, the position provides rent free housing, matched salary sacrificed superannuation of up to 5%, and five-weeks annual leave each year. Employment is offered under a two to five-year contract, and given the seniority of the role, a flexible approach to hours worked is required.
