Key Responsibilities
You will play a vital role in our 24/7 rotating roster, including day, afternoon, and night shifts. Your main responsibilities include:
* Develop meaningful and professional relationships with children, young people and their guardians understanding their unique needs, goals, and daily living activities.
* Meeting the child or young person's daily care needs such as personal hygiene, health and well-being, medical, transportation, recreational and educational support needs.
* Utilising trauma informed practices and supports in day-to-day care provision for children and young people.
* Encourage and facilitate opportunities for social engagement, recreation and community involvement.
* Advocate for the rights of children and young people.
* Support young people in developing essential life skills, including education, vocational training and independent living skills.
1. Promote and support positive relationships and connections for children and young people with culture and community.
2. Support and acknowledge children and young people for a copy of the Position Description.
