About the role
We have completed product development and have started installing our first systems at meat processing plants. Over the next 2 years, we'll install another 6 – 10 systems across Australia. We are looking for a skilled Production Engineer to help with the manufacture of our scanners, and to streamline assembly processes across the business.
You will be responsible for the manufacture and testing of the scanners. You'll also assist with improving current processes. As we scale up manufacture, you will also help to reduce the overall cost of system production.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in Production Engineering. You will also be able to demonstrate your experience in electronics manufacture and design. The ideal candidate will be keen to learn new technical areas, such as optics and photonics. They will have an exceptionally high attention to detail and be constantly trying to find new ways to improve assembly processes.
You will have at least 4 years of experience in Production Engineering. You will also have a good understanding of safety and quality systems. You will be able to demonstrate your track record of experience in:
* CAD design and fabrication of test fixtures;
* Examples of process improvements;
* Electrical / electronic design;
* Electrical / electronic fault finding in systems brought back from in-the-field;
* Experience working with mains voltage.
Candidates must have current Australian work rights at the time of application.
Key Responsibilities
* Assembly and testing of electronic+optical scanners;
* Process improvement for electronic+optical system assembly;
* Assist with fault-finding and repairs on complex electronic and optical systems that have come back from the field;
* Collaborate with electronic engineers and design engineers to identify and resolve issues related to manufacturing;
* Maintain and update stock levels;
* Improve quality assurance processes;
* Perform quality checks on components to meet both internal and external standards.
