Barwon Health, located in Geelong and one of the largest and most comprehensive regional health services in Australia, is seeking an exceptional medical practitioner to join our Psychiatry Trainees in MHDAS in Rotation 2 2025.
We welcome applications from doctors wishing to commence psychiatry training and current trainees transferring from other areas. Successful applicants will join a cohort of 33 psychiatry registrars at Barwon Health undertaking rotations within Barwon Health, Private Hospitals, and Mercy Health in Werribee who are currently completing accredited psychiatry training with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

About the Role
If you possess the necessary qualifications and aptitude, along with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to improving patient care, this may be the role for you.
We have vacancies for trainees to join us in Rotation 2 2025. Trainees at Barwon Health will be immersed in a positive, engaged culture where Registrars are challenged and supported to become exceptional Psychiatrists. Our very high exam success rates indicate that we guide our Registrars to completion of RANZCP training in the minimum five years, while supporting flexible working arrangements. We provide an extensive variety of core and non-core RANZCP training rotations, all supervised by accredited RANZCP Consultant Psychiatrist Supervisors. Furthermore, we are passionate about education and research, with a strong connection with Deakin University School of Medicine and the Deakin University Psychiatric Research Unit (IMPACT Strategic Research Centre: IMPACT Strategic Research Centre).
