An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic Recovery/PACU team at a private hospital in Brisbane. There are both full-time and part-time positions available. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Registered Nurse - Recovery / PACU, you will be: Delivering safe, researched-based standards of nursing care; Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care; Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs; Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes; Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs; Acting as a role model for Safe Practice. REQUIREMENTS Current registration with AHPRA; 2 years RN experience in Recovery/PACU Nursing with experience in one of the following specialties: Adult & Paediatric 1 & 2ndstage recovery; Authority to Work in Australia; Working with Children Check; Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent; Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement; Being self-motivated and having a proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team; Having highly developed interpersonal skills, being proactive, motivated and customer-focused. ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in the South East of Brisbane, is an acute facility that provides acute Medical, Day Oncology, Surgical, Maternity, Rehabilitation and Critical Care services. The day surgery unit is a day of surgery admission centre and a day surgery/endoscopy unit. 2 procedure rooms perform various procedures, including diagnostic and interventional Endoscopies, Colonoscopies and minor plastics and urological procedures.
