Fixed‐term, full‐time appointment for 24 months, commencing 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028. Working 76 hours per fortnight (+10 hours protected training time per fortnight, pro‐rate).
Royal Hobart Hospital – Obstetrics and Gynaecology, South region.
Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award/Agreement 2025, Medical Practitioner Level 5‐11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar).
Responsibilities
* Day‐to‐day management of private & public inpatients/outpatients.
* Afterhours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
* Provide tertiary level antenatal and intrapartum care, including ultrasound and labour ward management.
* Consolidate surgical skills, including laparoscopic surgery, as part of training in the general gynaecology unit.
Qualifications
* Successful completion of RANZCOG examination.
* General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable).

* Conviction checks: Crimes of Violence, Sex Related Offences, Serious Drug Offences, Crimes involving dishonesty.
* Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
