to maintain, optimize, and secure our network systems.
Position Overview:
As a
Network Engineer
, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure. You will ensure the network is secure, reliable, and efficient, supporting the company's operational and strategic goals. This role is ideal for a proactive IT professional with hands-on networking experience and a passion for infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
* Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network systems for reliability and efficiency.
* Ensure network security through the implementation of firewalls, VPNs, access controls, and other security measures.
* Configure and maintain routers, switches, servers, and other network hardware.
* Perform regular network audits, updates, and backups to maintain system integrity.
* Collaborate with IT and other departments to support business systems and ensure seamless connectivity.
* Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures.
* Stay current with emerging networking technologies, standards, and best practices.
* Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams regarding network-related issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
* Relevant certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS) are highly desirable.
* Experience:
* Proven experience (2+ years) in network administration or network engineering roles.
* Hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and network security.
* Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting network issues.
* Technical Skills:
* Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall management.
* Experience with network protocols, DNS, DHCP, and network configuration tools.
* Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
* Familiarity with network performance optimization, security best practices, and disaster recovery planning.
