Senior Drafting Specialist
A high-performing Survey Drafter is needed to lead the delivery of survey drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and similar software. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of survey principles and cadastral / construction workflows, as well as excellent attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
About the Role
This position involves drafting topographic, cadastral, construction & as-built plans from field data, translating surveyor notes, sketches & digital inputs into accurate plans, and reviewing, QA, and finalizing deliverables for consistency and compliance. The successful candidate will also liaise with surveyors, engineers, and clients to resolve discrepancies, improve and maintain drafting templates, standards, and efficiencies, mentor and support junior drafters, manage drafting workflow and priorities across multiple projects, provide internal training on software and technical standards, collaborate on process improvements and drafting innovations, and be part of strategic planning with the leadership team.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of survey drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and similar software
* Draft topographic, cadastral, construction & as-built plans from field data
* Translate surveyor notes, sketches & digital inputs into accurate plans
* Review, QA, and finalize deliverables for consistency and compliance
* Liaise with surveyors, engineers, and clients to resolve discrepancies
* Improve and maintain drafting templates, standards, and efficiencies
* Mentor and support junior drafters
* Manage drafting workflow and priorities across multiple projects
* Provide internal training on software and technical standards

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Strong experience as a Survey Drafter in land or construction surveying
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally Civil 3D, Civil Site Design, or similar software
* A deep understanding of survey principles and cadastral / construction workflows
* Excellent attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement
* A collaborative, proactive attitude and readiness to lead
