The Opportunity
This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic Lifting & Rigging Technician (Mechanical Fitter) to join the Nobles team.
We have secured several large projects across Australia and are looking for individuals who are seeking a new challenge.
What you will be required to do
In this role you will work across several areas of our operations to provide assistance and develop your skills in our unique industry.
Working 38 hours per week Monday to Friday generally with regional work requirements from time to time.
Your Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair hydraulic cylinders to ensure continued serviceability.
Sheave inspections and maintenance.
Maintain, repair and test customer goods in a timely and accurate manner.
Winch system maintenance.
Inspect GTU winch motors and gearboxes for serviceability, including assessments of oil levels, bearings and brake conditions.
Replace unserviceable winch motors and/or gearboxes and ensure keyway shaft alignment and gearbox coupling.
Assess the integrity of wire rope assemblies, clean and lubricate wire ropes and select suitable replacements as necessary.

Required
At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
Proven experience in mechanical fitting and maintenance, particularly in hydraulic systems and winch equipment.
Strong understanding of sheave and wire rope mechanics.
Proficient in the use of machining tools and inspection equipment (e.g., micrometers, depth gauges).
Demonstrates a proactive safety understanding by identifying potential hazards before they arise and promoting a culture of prevention and awareness.
