Join the City of Newcastle as a Senior Ecologist and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our natural environment.
We’re seeking an experienced ecologist to join our Environment and Sustainability Service Unit. In this key role, you’ll provide expert ecological advice across a range of initiatives, including CN’s environmental asset renewal program, on-ground restoration projects, strategic and land use planning, and our Natural Connection community engagement program.
You’ll contribute to the development and enhancement of environmental policies, strategies, and action plans—such as the Urban Forest Action Plan, Blue Green Grid Action Plan, Water Sensitive Cities Action Plan, and vegetation management plans.
As Senior Ecologist, your expertise will guide the design, implementation, and monitoring of ecological restoration and rehabilitation projects, ensuring the protection and enhancement of Newcastle’s natural assets.
