Data Center Hardware Support Manager
Oracle – North Ryde, New South Wales, Australia
As a leader in the Cloud Hardware support organization, you will be responsible for leading teams of Datacenter Technicians and/or Field Engineers assigned for delivery of on‐site support, installations, proactive services in a defined territory and/or data centre sites across Sydney. Your focus will be to meet the required service levels 24x7, improve and drive customer satisfaction, identify business opportunities and mitigate operational gaps. The role involves significant communication at all levels internally and externally. You will be a primary point of contact responsible for facilitating and providing advice and assistance on diverse situations and escalated issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee 24/7 data centre operations and new regional deployments
* Develop, coach, and scale high‐performing, diverse technical teams
* Collaborate globally to achieve consistency and deliver project milestones
* Foster continual improvement, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency
* Manage vendors and ensure local regulatory compliance
* Drive recruitment, talent development, and team progression
About You
* Proven leader of large, diverse teams in mission‐critical IT environments with extensive data centre exposure in hyperscale environments
* Strong technical and business acumen across infrastructure, DC operations, and growth mindset
* Skilled communicator, able to influence across functions and senior management
* Experience with hiring, mentoring, and developing managers and staff
* Adaptable and resilient, thriving in complex, fast‐paced environments
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
