We are seeking applications for the position of Assistant Accountant in the Finance Department. The role is a permanent full-time position based in the Toowoomba Office.
The key responsibilities of the role are:
* Providing financial information to allocated entities of Mort & Co
* Cash management and vendor payments
* Invoicing and purchase order activities
* Bank reconciliations
* Monthly general ledger reconciliations and journals
* Assisting with fixed asset management, including insurance, finance and asset registers
* Assisting with the preparation of BAS, payroll tax returns and income tax returns
* Assisting with other statutory reporting and auditor enquiries
* Assisting with enquiries from various departments
ABOUT YOU
To key requirements of the role are:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Finance or equivalent experience, together with an understanding of accounting standards and principles
* High level of attention to detail
* Intermediate level Excel skills
* Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
* Work well autonomously and in a team
* Collaborative communication skills.
