Living Gems is seeking a Financial and Management Accountant who's proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to take ownership of key financial processes. What You'll Be Doing
* Month-end balance sheet reconciliations and posting of general ledger journal entries including but not limited to intercompany loan balancing, accruals and prepayments, recharges, re-allocation of incorrect postings
* Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and process improvements
* Reviewing the bank reconciliation for each entity ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial records
* Providing management accounting support by analysing job cost reports and overhead expenditure.
* Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly BAS returns including claims for Fuel Tax Credits
* Assisting with the weekly cashflow reporting
* Assist with the weekly payment run processes.
* Engaging in the annual audit process and assisting in the delivery of audit requirements
* Leave relieving the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff.
Provide other accounting and administration support to the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Controller as required.
What You'll Bring
* CA or CPA qualification or studying towards preferred
* At least 2 years experience in a financial accounting role
* Strong technical accounting skills and confidence in financial reporting
* A proactive, commercially curious mindset and strong attention to detail
* Accounting experience in a construction environment desirable
* Experience with Plexa, Xero, EziScan, Therefore, Databuild and Technology One CIA software desirable
* Advanced excel skills is preferred
* Accounts Payable and Account Receivable experience is desirable
* Positive work attitude and the desire to learn new tasks
* The ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders and build positive relationships
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
