Protech are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our payroll team on a 6-month maximum term contract, based from our Mackay office.
This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll function to ensure timely completion of reports and efficient and accurate payroll transactions. The successful applicant is detailed-oriented and thrives working in fast-paced working environment.
Key Details:
* Contract Length: 6 months maximum term
* Hours: 24 hours per week (flexible scheduling available, including school hours)
* Location: On-site in Paget, QLD
Key Responsibilities:
* Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
* Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation
* Respond to employee payroll queries
* Assist with reporting and reconciliation tasks
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in payroll processing
* Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
* Excellent communication and time management skills
* Familiarity with payroll systems and award interpretation
