Job Description
This is a remote position.
* Own the finance function for both AU and PH entities, ensuring accurate, timely reporting, month-end close, analysis, and decision support.
* Manage core finance operations including bookkeeping, AP/AR, billing (mid-month and month-end), journals, reconciliations, and maintenance of Zoho/Xero.
* Oversee payroll and payments across AU and PH, including statutory, supplier, payroll compliance, and related HR administration support.
* Lead tax and regulatory compliance (AU BAS/IAS, ATO deadlines, PH withholding/income tax and financial statements), including annual workpapers, external reporting, and managing compliance timelines with directors.
* Strengthen governance and performance through internal controls, inter-entity reconciliations, asset register/capital tracking, KPI dashboards, reviews, and improved reporting frameworks.
* Drive continuous improvement by enhancing systems, procedures, automation, and cross-functional workflows between finance, HR, and operations.
* Provide leadership and trusted advisory to senior stakeholders, model EDR values, protect confidential information, and stay ahead of regulatory change impacts.
Requirements
* 5–8+ years progressive experience in finance/bookkeeping/compliance, with end-to-end ownership of finance operations.
* Australia compliance experience: BAS/IAS preparation & lodgement, ATO processes and deadline management, payroll compliance incl. superannuation, Xero, and inter-entity transactions/reconciliations.
* Philippines compliance experience: withholding tax, income tax preparation/reporting, financial statement preparation, PH payroll compliance, and BIR statutory reporting requirements.
* Technical capability: advanced bookkeeping and month-end close, strong reconciliations and financial reporting, Zoho + Xero, annual compliance workpapers, and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
* Core competencies: high accountability/ownership, strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple deadlines across jurisdictions, process-improvement mindset, strong cross-functional communication, and discretion with confidential matters.
* Preferred: degree in Accountancy/Finance (or related); Philippine CPA highly regarded (not mandatory); experience in accounting firm/professional services advantageous.
