Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an APS6 Data and Business Analyst.This position is located in their busy Canberraoffice for an initial contract until January 2027.
About the PositionThe role will see you preparing and analysing data relating to security clearance processes and timeframes. You will produce reports and dashboards for the senior executive and use data to suggest process improvements and ways to create efficiencies.
Duties
* Engage with various stakeholders across the department, including senior executives, to champion improved assessment and analytic procedures
* Prepare reports and dashboards to present to the division and DFAT executive on key findings, assessments and priorities
* Leverage multiple sensitive data feeds to identify patterns and trends
* Draft standard operating procedures for producing reports and dashboards and present material to enable improved data and analytic capabilities
* Participate in change initiatives around data governance and other data processes to improve security operations and data management
* Develop and manage reporting processes to ensure accurate, complete and timely outputs and advice
Requirements/Skills
* Australian citizen with minimum NV1 security clearance and a willingness to upgrade to an NV2 if required
* Qualification in information technology or related fields
* Ability to utilise digital and data systems to enable evidence-based decision making, such as SQL and/or PowerBI
