You will be a detail‐oriented Senior I&E Designer, who can work closely with Engineers and Project Managers from concept stage to project delivery. You will work with other designers to ensure continuous improvement in our designs and increase the technical competence of yourself and the team. You will bring to the role:
* Design capability across electrical, instrumentation and PLC automation.
* Ability to produce engineering designs, such as:
o Single Line Drawings (SLD's)
o Schematics and Termination drawings
o Cable schedules
o Plant layouts (e.g., cable routing, equipment, etc.)
o Earthing design drawings
o Network drawings
o Panel, Switch board, Marshalling boxes, Remote IO boxes, etc., general arrangement drawings
o P&ID's
o Instrument hook up drawings
o Simple structural and civil drawings (substation and transformer plinths/pads, instrument bracket design, etc.)
o Construction standard drawings.

This allows us to be light on our feet and progressive as we don't get bogged down in bureaucracy. We get that the 9‐5 isn't for everyone, and we're open to hear what works for you.
This position would suit Senior E&I Designers with experience in mining and oil & gas greenfield projects. Skills and experiences across:
* Experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation drawing packages.
* Experience using drawing standards libraries and Document Control processes.
* Understanding of generating bill of materials, estimates and quotations for tenders.
* Understanding of Australian Drafting Codes and Standards.
* Experience working in the mining, oil and gas, water infrastructure or materials handling industries.
* Ideally, you will have a Drafting diploma or higher, preferably in electrical design.
* Ability to work under limited supervision on occasion.
