About the role and team
We are looking for a motivated Paralegal to join our Recoveries team and assist with Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) claims and related litigation matters. You'll gain exposure to legal processes, client interaction, and drafting court documents—perfect for building practical skills early in your law career.
We're looking for someone in the early stages of their law degree who ideally has some paralegal experience. You will play an important role in the team.
Key responsibilities
* Reviewing invoices and out‑of‑pocket expenses for repairs, hire cars, towing fees, etc.
* Drafting Letters of Demand and General Procedure Claims (Magistrates Court)
* Liaising with insurers, brokers, and clients to progress matters
* Assisting with defence work, including reviewing documents, obtaining statements, and preparing court documents
* Managing credit correction matters, including dismissing proceedings and liaising with credit reporting agencies
About you
* Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
* Confident communicator – comfortable making calls and sending emails to clients and stakeholders
* Organised and able to manage a high volume of files and prioritise effectively
