Rehabilitation Services is a specialised unit dedicated to helping individuals and their families regain and maintain optimal function to achieve their lifestyle goals. The service includes a 16-bed inpatient unit, a 15-bed day hospital, and outreach programs to Mt Morgan, Capricorn Coast, and Gladstone. It also offers the Living with Amputation Service. Patients benefit from centre‐based sub‐acute inpatient and day hospital rehabilitation, alongside specialist assessment and management services, ensuring comprehensive support for recovery and independence.
About the role
As Nurse Unit Manager, you'll lead, mentor, and energise your team, drive innovation, champion quality and safety, and turn evidence‐based practice into everyday excellence. You'll manage resources, shape the unit's culture, and make sure every patient receives world‐class care while fostering learning, research, and continuous improvement. This senior leadership role guides a specialised team helping patients and their families get back to their best and achieve their lifestyle goals.
About you
Our future NUM will be a current Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and an active annual practising certificate – these are essential.
While not mandatory, postgraduate qualifications in Rehabilitation, Aged Care, or Leadership/Management will make you stand out.
Strong computer skills are also a must, helping you lead and manage the unit with confidence and efficiency.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $169,139 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $68.86 - $74.76 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
