About the role
A great opportunity for exposure to various businesses and regular travel across WA, the Group Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for driving and leading the Sales and Marketing strategy, budgets, sales and promotion of the businesses across the Group.
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, this role involves identifying new markets and opportunities, attending trade and consumer shows, and providing sales activity reports. The Group Sales and Marketing Manager oversees the Marketing Executives and is responsible for key marketing functions, including website management, digital marketing, print advertising, and campaign coordination.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Work with Head of Sales and Marketing to manage the Sales and Marketing Strategy.
* Identify marketing opportunities by researching consumer requirements, defining market and competitor share.
* Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalising on market opportunities and coordinating new product development in conjunction with the Head of Sales and Marketing and management team.
* Maintain strong relationships with agents, trade partners and key accounts, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
* Manage print advertising and editorial opportunities, along with TV, radio and other traditional placements.
* Set pricing strategies for merchandise, monitoring the performance of these items and ensuring stocks are maintained.
* Identify new sales opportunities, manage contracts, monitor commission levels, and determine where the best ROI with sales activity is achieved.
* Identify trade and consumer shows that offer the best ROI for the Group and attend as required.
* Represent the company at business networking events and solidify business relationships with key industry partners.
About you
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Proven previous leadership experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently and to deadlines.
* Ability to act as a mentor and provide leadership.
* Acts with integrity at all times and handle confidential material responsibly.
* Well‐developed problem‐solving skills with a high level of initiative.
* Display openness to seek and embrace change.
* Strong understanding of online channels, best practices and analytic reporting.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Knowledge of the inbound and wholesale tourism distribution system.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate, confidently and positively with a wide range of people.
* Ability to travel frequently nationally and internationally.
