About The Role
As Buyer & Product Developer, you'll be the driving force behind some of this organisations key category groups. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes product development – from trend spotting and concept creation through to supplier sourcing, negotiation, quality control, and market launch.
Reporting to the Head of Product, you'll:
* Shape and deliver product ranges that excite customers by analysing trends, sales data and market insights.
* Own the sourcing process, working directly with factories in China and India, negotiating terms and building trusted supplier relationships.
* Oversee product lifecycle management, from initial concept through to final delivery – ensuring quality, compliance, and commercial viability.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with design, marketing, logistics, and sales teams to bring ranges to market successfully.
* Mentor and support a Product Coordinator, setting clear expectations and fostering growth.
This is a chance to take true ownership of a category, seeing your products evolve from idea on a page to products in homes across Australia.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualification in Procurement, Buying, International Trade, Merchandising, or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years' experience in product development and international sourcing – ideally within Homewares or FMCG.
* Proven ability to analyse market trends and turn insights into commercial product ranges.
* Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholder, Fluency in Mandarin advantageous but not essential.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and ideally ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365.
* A true passion for product development, with the creativity, curiosity, and drive to bring products to life.

* Applicants must hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid working rights.
* Appointment subject to a National Police check.
* Current driver's licence required.
