The role of Referee Development Coordinator is pivotal in enhancing the officiating network across Queensland.
This position plays a hands-on part in strengthening the community officiating network through sustainable relationships and collaborations.
The successful applicant will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement effective strategies for referee recruitment, retention, and development.
* Support associations to establish and maintain strong networks of referees and committees across various regions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to provide operational support, including data entry, invoicing, and logistics management.
* Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and recognition programs to enhance referee skills and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Skill Enhancement and Development
The Referee Development Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for referees, working in collaboration with the NRL Officiating team.
This includes delivering mentoring programs and coordinating workshops aligned with national accreditation frameworks.
Additionally, the coordinator will develop recognition programs to acknowledge outstanding contributions from community referees.
Operational Support and Logistics
The successful candidate will provide administrative and governance support to associations and committees, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
This includes managing referee accreditations, Working with Children checks, and other necessary certifications.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
The Referee Development Coordinator will engage with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen coaching and assessment practices, as well as promote collaborative efforts among associations and committees.
Through regular communication and follow-up, this role ensures alignment with QRL and national strategies for referee development and growth.
