About the Role
Join the Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery (OMTID) in a key compliance role supporting safe and effective delivery of major transport projects. This position undertakes compliance audits across all OMTID projects, including contractors and sub‐contractors, identifying risks, non‐compliance and opportunities to improve systems and practices.
You will manage audit programs, track corrective actions, report findings to management and work closely with stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. The role also involves inspections, record‐keeping and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance and minimise risk across the Public Transport Authority.
Responsibilities
* Conduct compliance audits across OMTID projects, including contractors and sub‐contractors.
* Identify risks, non‐compliance and opportunities for system improvement.
* Manage audit programs and track corrective actions.
* Report findings to management and engage with stakeholders to resolve issues.
* Perform inspections and maintain audit records.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen compliance and minimise risk.
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary Lead Auditor qualification (or in progress) or Internal Auditor accreditation with substantial practical audit experience.
* Experience using risk‐based audit approaches.
* Strong experience delivering audit services, with proven ability to analyse and interpret legislation, regulations, policies, procedures and instructions.
* Highly developed communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‐engagement skills.
* Excellent analytical, problem‐solving, planning and organisational skills, enabling objective, transparent audits to be conducted with integrity while meeting deadlines and minimising risk.

Work type: Fixed Term (Full Time) – until 31 October 2029 with possibility of renewal or permanency.
Salary Level 4, SOA: $99,674 – $111,044 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
