Your journey with us will be more than just a job—it’s a pathway to a fulfilling and impactful career.As a Graduate Project Controls Planner at Bechtel, you will assist in supporting cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as well as schedule development, maintenance, reporting, and monitoring activities, as directed.Major Responsibilities:Supports cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, reporting, and monitoring activities, as directed.Collects or receives, as directed, drawings and other scope definition documentation that applies to assigned discipline or commodity specialty and verifies adequacy and completeness.Performs, as directed, routine quantity takeoffs, within discipline or commodity specialty, from engineering and construction drawings.Collects and tabulates quantity data for summary comparisons and reconciliations, or verifies quantities provided by others.Prepares and presents cost/schedule information at meetings, as directed.Education and Experience Requirements:Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.Be an Australian citizen or have the right to permanently work and remain in Australia without sponsorship.Be able to pass any pre-employment requirements such as a drug screen and background check.Required Knowledge and Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Sound communication and teamwork abilities.Eagerness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.A proactive attitude and a passion for making a difference.Mobility, flexibility, and the desire to work on construction projects locally, regionally, and interstate.High degree of passion and ambition to work in the construction industry and help transform communities and change landscapes.Additional Information:This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.This position is available to both local and non-local personnel.
