Job Description
The Department of Health Tasmania is seeking a skilled Team Leader to join their pharmacy team in Launceston. As a key member of the dispensary team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and efficient pharmacy services to hospital inpatients and outpatients.
Working collaboratively with clinical pharmacists and medical teams, you will contribute directly to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the effective operation of the dispensary service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing dispensing activities, including medication preparation, packaging, and supply
* Providing patient counseling and education on medication use and management
* Contributing to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a leadership or management role
* Advanced knowledge and skills in pharmacy practice, including dispensing, patient counseling, and clinical pharmacy
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
