Chateau Beachside enjoys a beachfront location in Surfers Paradise. It is an older style property but with an unbeatable location, and attracts a full range of guests. It is a busy 3.5 star accommodation property that offers 5 room styles focusing on vacation rentals.
Weekly shifts and hours worked are reasonably flexible depending on your circumstances but the role requires weekend availability. Shifts are worked between the hours of 7am and 8pm Monday to Sunday and generally range from 4 to 8 hours per day.
Engagement is by ABN contract or casual
The Role
We are seeking an experienced guest service agent/reception person to join our small but outstanding team to perform the day to day operations of our front desk/reception to an effective and high level of efficiency. Honesty, trustworthiness and integrity are essential personal characteristics.
Deliver friendly positive guest service from check in to check out and everywhere in between
Be responsible for completing a wide variety of front office tasks, including taking reservations, maintain guest accounts, guest check in and out, daily balancing
Responsible for ensuring procedures and checklists are completed correctly and on-time
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes Required
Accommodation Reception and Reservation experience at least 2 years (Resly, Hirum)
Stable Work History
Broad level of MS Office and Property Management System competency
Abitlity to be a competent "service apartments" all-rounder - as such, experience in housekeeping, property management, and building maintenance & cleaning is desirable
Demonstrate good communication skils and maintain communication with guests and relevant departments (eg maintenance & housekeeping)
End of shift EFTPOS and PMS balancing
Will demonstrate a can-do, responsible and flexible approach to work, a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor, a keen eye for details, ability to work unsupervised, discretion in guest interaction, an ability to follow instructions and work quickly and efficiently to achieve individual and team goals is vital
Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and completing quality checks and self audits.
Appropriate reception and reservations experience in a resort/motel/apartment hotel
Ability to work under pressure
