Maritime Security Officer
The purpose of this role is to ensure the safety and security of all maritime zones where approved security plans are enforced.
This includes controlling access into these zones, signing contractors in and out, checking their induction cards and MSICs, and ensuring there is no unauthorized access to the site or vulnerabilities to the physical and electronic security integrity of the Site perimeter.
Responsibilities:
* Access Control: Control access into a maritime zone (both persons and vehicles) in accordance with relevant regulations
* Sign-in/Sign-out: Sign contractors IN/OUT and check their induction cards and MSICs
* Communication and Reporting: Check emails, administration, communications, and required reporting
* Perimeter Security: Provide perimeter security by ensuring there is no unauthorized access to the site or vulnerabilities to the physical and electronic security integrity of the Site perimeter
Requirements:
* A Certificate II in Security Operations
* A State current and applicable Security license
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
* Must hold a license to work as a security guard, being a license that was issued or recognized by the relevant State or Territory and that is in force
