Role Overview
Mount Isa Mines are currently seeking qualified Motor Mechanics for the George Fisher Mine mobile maintenance department.
Responsibilities
* Working both independently and as part of a multi‐disciplinary trade team
* Demonstrating a high standard of professional workmanship
* Performing light fleet maintenance work, as well as breakdown repairs
* Planned maintenance activities on assets including Toyota's, Isuzu, light trucks, buses and small trailers
* Contributing to continuous improvement opportunities
* Deliver personnel and equipment to job sites and return surplus equipment to stores
* Assist in achieving budgeted development and production KPIs by performing varied tasks
* Contribute positively to the team environment, operate safely and assist with delivery of production targets within budget
* Mentoring apprentices
* Project work as required
Qualifications and Attributes
* Trade qualification – Motor Mechanic
* Hold a current manual driver's license
* Holding a current Refrigeration Handling Licence is highly regarded
* Experience in repairing mobile equipment
* Positive attitude and high safety standards
* Mining or heavy industry experience will be highly regarded
* Holding High risk work licence, Working at Heights, Confined Space, forklift licence, MR or HR licence
* Excellent trouble‐shooting & problem solving skills
* Flexible approach and adaptable to change with a high attention to detail
* Good time management skills and able to work well under pressure
* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
* Good communication skills
* Willingness and ability to learn new processes
* Experience in SAP or similar system is an advantage
* Experience in Excel is an advantage
