We are seeking a motivated and talented team member to join our Banking & Finance team in Melbourne. Whether you are an experienced Paralegal or a Junior Lawyer, this role offers exposure to a broad range of banking and finance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on banking and finance laws and regulations to support the team in providing accurate and up-to-date advice
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to banking and finance transactions, including loan agreements, mortgages and security documents and regulatory compliance
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, providing legal support and assistance under the guidance of senior lawyers to settle files
- Using PEXA for streamlined and efficient electronic conveyancing
- Contribute to due diligence processes, ensuring thorough examination of relevant legal aspects in banking and finance matters
- Manage and organise legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
What We’re Looking For
Paralegal candidates should ideally bring:
- 1–2 years’ paralegal experience (banking & finance preferred)
- Strong organisational skills and confidence in drafting and preparing accurate conveyancing documentation and correspondence
- Familiarity with PEXA and e-lodgement processes
Junior Lawyer candidates should ideally bring:
- Admission as an Australian Legal Practitioner with 2–3 years’ post admission experience
- Experience in land title transactions, commercial leasing, residential and commercial property matters
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication
