Business Development Manager - Commercial HVAC

MCAS (Mechanical Construction Air Services) is a well established commercial air conditioning specialist with over 25 years of experience delivering high quality HVAC solutions across Western Australia. Based in Wangara, Perth, we service a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial and institutional clients and are recognised for our exceptional workmanship and long term client relationships.
As part of our next growth phase, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to take ownership of our preventative maintenance portfolio and play a key role in strengthening and expanding this area of the business.
The Role
This is a semi autonomous role suited to an experienced commercial HVAC professional who thrives on relationships, accountability and long term value creation.
Responsibilities
* Managing and retaining MCAS's existing preventative maintenance contracts
* Building strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders including facility managers, property managers, building owners and consultants
* Identifying and securing new preventative maintenance contracts through your existing network and proactive business development
* Acting as the commercial point of contact for maintenance clients, working closely with our technicians and service team
* Managing your own pipeline, reporting and workflow using AroFlo (training provided)
* Proactively identifying opportunities for contract growth, system upgrades and long term service improvements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Essential: Proven experience in commercial HVAC
* Solid working technical knowledge, with the ability to speak credibly with clients (additional tech support provided if needed for specific instances)
* A relationship first mindset with a long term approach to client partnerships
* A proactive, self motivated and highly organised working style
* The ability to manage your own time, reporting and priorities with minimal oversight
* Not essential but ideal: An existing network within the commercial building, facilities or property space
This role will suit someone who prefers quality relationships over hard selling, but who is still comfortable initiating outreach when required.
Remuneration
A competitive base salary in the range of $110,000–$150,000 is offered, reflecting responsibility for managing an existing preventative maintenance portfolio.
A performance based bonus structure will be aligned to the retention and growth of maintenance contracts.
The overall package (base + bonus) will be commensurate with experience, capability and the value of the network brought to the role, with final structure discussed and agreed with the successful candidate prior to starting.
A company vehicle, mobile phone and all necessary tools are provided to support you in the role.
