The role of IT Systems Administrator involves maintaining and enhancing the company's IT infrastructure across various departments. This includes managing networks, user accounts, servers, cloud platforms and business applications to ensure systems operate efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs.
* Implement and enforce robust security measures through access controls, monitoring and incident response.
* Install, configure and maintain servers, storage systems and operating environments.
* Perform routine system maintenance, backups and updates to prevent security breaches and downtime.
* Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software and access issues.
* Manage user accounts and permissions across Active Directory and other business systems.
* Maintain accurate IT documentation, including configurations and network diagrams.
* Monitor system and network performance to identify potential issues before they occur.
