Fire Safety Compliance Manager
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Safety Compliance Manager to lead our compliance team and ensure all fire safety systems and processes meet current standards and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and support a team of Fire Safety Assessors across multiple sites and projects
* Oversee fire safety inspections, assessments, and compliance reporting
* Ensure all works comply with relevant Australian Standards, codes, and legislation
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to assessors and internal teams
* Assist in preparing quotes, tenders, and scope of works for new and existing clients
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities
* Review and approve compliance documentation, reports, and certifications
* Stay up to date with changes in fire safety legislation and industry standards
Requirements
* Strong knowledge of fire safety standards and legislation (e.g. AS1851, NCC, relevant state regulations)
* Proven experience in fire safety compliance or a similar role
* Experience managing or mentoring teams
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them in practical settings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
Desirable
* Accreditation as a Fire Safety Assessor (or equivalent)
* Background in electrical, fire protection, or building services
